Frost Sorcerer... of DOOM

Freezing things to 0 and then scattering the bits all over the place.

This is a sorcerer build focusing on the Water Elemental Savant prestige line, for a number of high-damage, low-cost spells. The core spells of the build ignore spell resistance, and the focus on Charisma above all else ensures that the spell DCs are high enough to reliably hit. With metamagic applying to spell-likes for free, it's easy to get a 2sp Niac’s Cold Ray by level 6 that hits for upwards of 200 damage, and eventually hit for greater than 300 points, with a DC of ~35. Even if it's saved against 50% of the time, that still provides valuable, rapid damage at incredibly low cost. When it becomes necessary to lay down heavy fire, Polar Ray will hit for over a thousand points.

The build picks up a number of acid spells to fill support roles, and provide an alternative for when targets are sufficiently resistant to cold to make the primary spells less than useful. The more powerful buffs - specifically, ones not easily provided by 'clickies' - are on the list, and several crowd control and debuff spells round things out.

On the skills front, there's just enough invested in Tumble to make it an option in combat - quick getaway rolls followed by a blast of Niac’s provides ample moving fire - with the majority of the skill points invested in Concentration and UMD. With only a basic +6 Charisma item, the build has a +25 to UMD, allowing comfortable use of scrolls level 1-5, and only a slight failure rate for Heal scrolls. A single decent UMD item puts 7th level scrolls on the no-fail list, leaving you with very little from the cleric list you can't do. Training away Acid Spray at some point would make room for Jump, Detect Secret Doors, or Expeditious Retreat for enhanced utility.
